Soda Lake

We went camping with some friends this weekend.  So much fun!  We drove over some seriously horrid roads, that I for real thought we were going over the edge.  But after an hour of driving on the dirt road, we finally got there.  Look how beautiful it is!

Soda Lake

 Pristine and clear

We saw lots of muskrats and some other duck type fowl.

It rained on us in the night and was a little overcast in the morning, so we jumped in before it got stormy. Some of the smoothest water we've been on.  So lovely!

Who's that purdy punk?

The drive really was quite beautiful.
We drove by some red mountains, lots of ponds, and over bumpy and steep roads.

You know you're in Wyoming when:

I think the little dude was even cut out of vinyl. So silly.

And you can't help but love the Tetons no matter how many times you see 'em.

Summer in Wyoming

Our summer has been busy.  I just got back from Girls Camp, we are working on our backyard, more to come on that. Hopefully soon.  We took a quick trip up the hill last night with our kayaks.  It was one of the most beautiful evenings we've had.  You can tell from our pictures.

Jake called this my ghetto picture:

This one didn't work:

He claims he was scratching his beard. What do you think?

I so wish the moon showed up in this picture like it looked in real life. It was so cool:

There it is!

We had planned on making dinner in the fire while we were up there.  We decided to come home and make our Parmesan chicken sandwiches. They smelled so good!  We got these for our anniversary and this was the first time to use them.  We had no idea how long to leave them in.  When we pulled them out, they were nice and done. And black.  We scratched them and made ham and cheese sandwiches instead. Not as good I'm sure.

See our sad little fire pit.  Hopefully by the end of the summer, our backyard will have one...Hopefully.

Love Wyoming!!
